A New International are a fantastic band from Glasgow. I went up and we spent five days pulling the material apart and putting it back together in a rehearsal room. Then two months later, with all the songs rehearsed and gigged, they came down to Yellow Arch, and we recorded it all in a couple of weeks.

We made a second album together, The Dark Carnival, in 2019, which started life as music for a theatre show, but bloomed into a full album.

 

I love this band and this album. All they need now is a good label! And manager. And publisher. And agent.
