Slow Club - Charles Watson and Rebecca Taylor - first approached me in in 2012 to write a couple of string arrangements for them. I loved the songs they gave me. In 2013 I suggested we try recording a few tunes, so we booked three days in the studio. It didn't take long for us to realise we were enjoying ourselves, and the music wasn't sounding too bad either. Four months later we had a finished album. It's very hard to pick one track from it, as it's so diverse and I love all of it. Here, though, is the title track, an all-guns-blazing disco inferno! For the record, I played bass, some guitar, percussion, and provided the string arrangement. All recorded and mixed by me at Yellow Arch.
